I live in the NW of England, on the borders of both Pendle Witch country, and the Yorkshire moors. I love books, and apparently some of the first words I said, (and kept saying), were ‘read to me!’ It’s hardly surprising that my family cheered a couple of years later when I learned to read for myself.
I am a compulsive and voracious reader. I also have very eclectic tastes when it comes to books. I will happily read ancient Greek/Roman authors; cosy mysteries, historical or contemporary; historical fiction; nonfiction; cereal boxes, crisps packets … if it’s got writing on it, then I have to read it. However, my favourite genre is Romance. Specifically the series/category romances of Harlequin/Mills & Boon, and my favourite subgenre is Historical Romance.
I am a book review virgin, so please be gentle with me.
I also love cats, coffee, chocolate, and stationery of all kinds. I am currently studying for a combined Classical Studies/ History BA (hons) degree with the Open University.
